Telia in Sweden. The govermental phone service gone private... They are
not excactly assosiated with effectivness... :)

Telia requires that you log in every time you want to access the net
(when you need a dynamic IP that is). The only way they provide is the
webpage... Of course there is an app to bypass this that was released
about 5 minutes after telia made the announcement, called LF Connection
Keeper, so this is most often only an inconvieniense... But still...

Nope... this has nothing to do with the modem, its the DHCP servers that
refuses to give a IP-no without login. As the timeout is set to
something like 20 or 30 minutes, all thats needed to do is to send a
ping with that interval to keep the connection alive, as long as you
alredy have logged in.
When the base system is installed you can alvays install lfck witch will
solve the problem.

My mistake was that i destroyed the Win2K bootloader when installing
GRUB, thus was unable to access the net via W2K...

Hell no! I'm certainly not ready to give up on Gentoo yet!!! :)

Well, I bought this high end (at least for another 3 months... :)
machine to toy around with... So, what the heck! :)
