This is not the case.  The Open Source movement promote a pragmatic
approach, based on the premise that Open Source software is effective
and useful and a superior development model.  RMS thinks it more
important that software be Free than Good (though he'd rather both, of
course) and will always promote the former over the latter if there is a
choice.
