sorry if that sounded like a rant at you.  i'm having a bad day with an
iMac, OS9.0.4, OSX, OE.  for all of apple's good points, trying to make
computing easy for the masses, they also seem todo a good job at
insulating users from dificult things.  which is exactly what i'm doing
now, and i'm banging my head against a beautifuly crafted product
because, like windows, its 'protecting' me from myself.
