Wow. Is this the same BT? ;) FWIW I know a couple of people who've had 
their lines DACSed and despite much complaining to BT haven't managed to 
get a thing done about it. BT say they only guarantee data speeds up to 
14.4 as the lines are designed for voice. If you want data you obviously 
should be using something earning them a lot more money such as their 
rip-off ISDN.

I'd still recommend complaining though. It may work as it did for Steve, 
and at least you'll add to the numbers shouting at BT that they need to 
get their act together. You never know, it might eventually have some 
effect. :)
