[Gllug] Help: Can't get Palm to synchronize with Linux PC

/dev/pilot needs to be a symlink to the appropriate serial port.
ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/pilot
ls -l /dev/pilot
will give you this output:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5 May 19 13:27 /dev/pilot -> ttyS0

I'm not sure whether the Hotsync button starts a sync on its own. I
don't remember it working like that in jpilot, anyway. You had to
click [Sync] in jpilot and then press the Hotsync button on the
cradle.
(I gave my Palm away a month ago so this is from memory.)
