We've got SDSL to our office in holborn from EasyNet.  The Holborn
exchange is unbundled, so no British Telecom anywhere.  SDSL is
particularly useful if you are using VPNs (which we do a lot), since you
tend to get a lot more upstream traffic then.

Who do amazingly cheap leased lines in London.  I've got a quote here
for a 2Mbps line for £1,500 install and £450/month.

Currently we're not contending at all on our SDSL line AFAICT, so the
SDSL is fine, but if more people start using it, the exponential-e
network will start looking quite good.
