I don't know how to do the DVD thing (and I suspect it is quite challenging
between two very different OSes) but Samba is what you need for File and
Print sharing between a windows box and a linux box. This probably come on
the mandrake discs (it does with most distributions these days)

there is probably some kind of GUI setup tool for samba installed with
mandrake. Someone else can probably help you more here.
