Analogy time.

You have a can of Coke.  You like your can of Coke.  I take your can
of Coke and drink the Coke.  You don't have the Coke any more.  This
is stealing.

Now suppose I have a magic Coke copying machine.  I ask you if I can
borrow your can of Coke for a minute, copy the Coke and give you the
can back.  Now we both have Coke.  How is this stealing?

Now I know you're going to say that I deprived Coke of a sale by using
my magic Coke copying machine.  However, I just want you to think
about it a bit more before you go around saying copying data is
"exactly the same as Stealling".
