The latter seems a sensible course of action; the former is simply a
matter of courtesy to other users of the list. There are plenty of
political groups out there for people who wish to organise
demonstrations - GLLUG members should not take stances on this list on
political issues other than those (such as copyright) which impinge
directly upon free software. There's nothing moralistic in that, I also
have strong opinions on what's currently going on - I just don't think
that this is the place to air them.
