Bad idea.  ADSL is an always-on service that usually comes with no SLA. 
You will get refunded the cost of part of the line rental and not much
else in the event of a failure.  Meanwhile your web site is unavailable
and your mail is backing up.  Hosting your website with someone is
usually cheap, it is with us anyway :)

Web servers behind a NAT aren't _too_ bad, mail servers though can have
serious problems especially when it comes to MX secondary services. I've
seen this setup resulting in terminal mail loops.

You have no choice but to use their gateway,  you can quite eaily run
your own DNS server, however.
