No, but an awful lot of RAID cards (specifically Promise) are actually
ordinary PCI IDE cards with (bad) RAID software in the BIOS, in, yes,
x86 assembler.

But in practice as this is x86 *real mode* assembler, *nobody* uses it,
not even Windows; everyone treats it as an ordinary disk controller and
layers OS-specific software RAID on top of that.
