dictionary.com:
fe·do·ra ( P ) Pronunciation Key (f-dôr, -dr)
A soft felt hat with a fairly low crown creased lengthwise and a brim
that can be turned up or down.

With Slackware it's +very+ easy to uninstall packages. You just have to
know it's not going to impact anything else you need on the box!
RedHat, I'd agree, is more "restrictive", but this is due in part to my
lack of knowledge/time to fully understand what installing a particular
package _means_ for my system.

Same here. I just don't trust packages on the net (and I don't mean paranoia
about "backdoors", just did they compile against the same library versions
I have?).
I am interested to try Debian's package management, as Redhat does piss
me off in this dept. But slack is very nice!
