Oh, I've been insulted in the local Kingston branch. Some silly staff woman
was laughing at me while I was enjoying a beer in the bar and then at the
end of the film a bunch of them were larking about waiting for everybody to
leave the cinema when the same woman said "Goodbye Wally".
Given that I work for a post-production company I had a good mind to go up
to the staff member, flash my company ID at them and state that while
they're mopping up after their customers and being paid a pittance for it,
we're working on the movies themselves. Or something like that. Completely
OTT I know, but it puts them in their place.
I've also suffered from silly teenagers trying to make out in the back of
the cinema, making horrible slurping/sucking noises - they've no idea of how
to kiss and it's just embarrassing for both them and the rest of the
audience.
These days I tend to watch stuff on DVD anyway - the missus doesn't like
anything with monsters or loads of violence which pretty much rules out 90%
of the films currently showing.
Regards,
Martyn
