Chris I agree with you fully , im quite new to linux (old to unix) but am
finding my feet fast , I have a hell of a time fixing simple thigs as there
is just to much info out there and a lot of it is on a level a few notch's
higher than my level. I would benifit from this as would many others, Im
blest with a best friend who knows most of his linux like the back of his
hand, he always points me to the right guide abut sometimes its hard to
comprehend.
Im quite new to this mailing list but have now sorted instalation on to my
lappy think pad thanks to you lot...
Some one keep me informed about these meetings , i would like to attend.
Regards
james

If Linux takes off in the way we hope there will be many more newcomers,
asking many more basic questions. There are plenty of guides, in fact so
much documentation that many new users are unable to see the wood for the
trees, and in the past some have been put off by the response to their
questions. I feel that they can benefit from configuration help and advice,
and watching an installation, even if they do not bring their own hardware,
while many would be put off by the amount of searching required to discover
the correct book that contains the simple answer required.
