[Gllug] Disable a PCI slot?

I recently got a docking station for an old laptop. It adds some useful
things, including an extra two PCMCIA slots.

When the laptop is docked, inserting a wireless card crashes it as soon
as it tries to load the driver, orinoco_cs. Laptop undocked, the driver
loads and I can use the card.

The whole thing is a mystery to me, but I want to see what happens if
the extra 2 sockets aren't used.

Is there some way to disable the PCI devices, because I can't physically
remove them?
