The humour of that remark obviously went way over my head.

Maybe I was the only person on-list not to get the gag.

Well I just don't know. How am I supposed to pick one sentence that
was meant to be humourous out of a dozen emails full of similar tripe?

I could pick a number of things you've said and wonder if you were
even serious when you wrote it.
