[Gllug] ubuntu wireless

Hi

I am a newbie and I am learning to use ubuntu 5.04.

I have a few problems and they are:

A) I couldn't find the shell where I could type in
command line from the desktop.

B ) Can you help me to config my wireless connection?
I have an IP address and a password from my wireless
ASDL modem router but don't know where to config with
ubuntu.

C) how can i find out whether it can use WEP?

Please advise.
