There is a a really nasty further problem with the horrible digital TV 
that's presently available (cable, satellite, terrestrial) - the 
granular artifacts present in most horizontally moving images (probably 
due to the high level of compression used).

The next issue is the ease with which digital TV can be encrypted and 
DRM'ed - it's only a matter of time before it will not be possible to 
record "off-air", and you can bet that there'll be ever more charges 
levied.....
