[Gllug] apt-get // proxy passwords

Hello chums,

I have a woody machine which I am trying to update through a windows
proxy server. I have set up an entry in my apt.conf as follows:

Acquire{http::Proxy"http://DOMAIN\user:password@uk-proxy.dlr.ad.delarue.com:8080"};

However I have been struggling with the fact that my password includes
an @ sign and also an & sign. I've tried embedding these with, for
example, both %38 and &#38.

When I try to apt-get update I get connection time-outs, or 113 no
route to hosts.

Any ideas?
