Apologies for the delay, your date (1.1.1970) forced the email to the
bottom of my list.
I have several boxes in 172.21.3.0/24 and almost all are DNS listed
normally in

/etc/bind/db.localdomain

with the one exception, 172.21.3.4 which is listed normally in

/etc/bind/db.overview.demon.co.uk

but also appears in

/etc/bind/db.localdomain

with a CNAME postman.overview.demon.co.uk.

followed immediately by an A reference for postman.overview.demon.co.uk. as
172.21.3.4 (I think that is called a GLUE record).

/etc/bind/db.172.21.3

has a PTR to postman.overview.demon.co.uk. instead of postman.localdomain.

All db. files show postman.overview.demon.co.uk as the MX for the network.

I do not have any DNS reference from Demon or anywhere else that points
to my DNS server, it is only visible locally.
