I have all of my computer kit plugged into them. Belkin do a "SurgeCube"
which does the same thing for around a tenner, or Argos can sell you
a 10-way surge protected block for $PENNIES. Never lost a machine yet
using them (although the power here is pretty reliable, so they don't
get tested that much).
