Vista is terrible.. agreed.
Vista shipped without many of the promised features because MS bowed to
shareholder pressure... agreed
Vista still has many of the braindead OS ghosts that XP suffered from...
agreed

...er whats my point?...  I was eventually gonna disagree with something. Oh
yes. despite this Vista is not XP.
We will have to wait for Longhorn (server 2008) for some important updates
to test, but Vista has a new presentation layer, a new filesystem (although
again wait for the cool(?) stuff in sp3 or something) and of course a
pathetic attempt to have a secure/easy user interface.

Vista is attrocious, but these things do make it different from XP. Just not
better :)
