I've been using a Nova-T 500 dual-tuner PCI card (one of the early
ones by coincidence) since last March. It is a dual tuner card that
does work in Linux. As pointed out above, though, newer versions of
this card might not work.

The only problem I have had with it in Linux was with the Hauppage
remote (lircd kept crashing randomly). I have been using it with Vista
Media Center so far, but have kept a second partition on standby and
keep trying Linux every few months. 2-3 months ago the remote was the
only problem. I will try again in a few days.

I found this guide to be very useful:
http://parker1.co.uk/mythtv_ubuntu.php

He has good step-by-step instructions for how to get things working in
Ubuntu Feisty, including the firmware blob bit.
