I'm the person who runs the mailman installation this list lives on. ;)

I don't claim an authority to demand what others do. Do you?

The fact remains however that a mailing list is not a private
communication. It is a group communication and it's plain rude to send a
message to such a public forum and demand that nobody share their
responses with the rest of the forum.
