Well, I am happy to solve problems as they arise. Oddly, they do not
arise with Debian; certainly not at the point of trying to get something
to install.
I reiterate, with a scenario of two server-class low end new machines,
Ubuntu 8.10 server failed to install and Debian Etch worked perfectly.
So I hardly think it's an upstream issue, more a broken installer.
Which do you really think I am going to put into production? Hmm?
(The only issue I have had so far with Etch on server-class hardware was
with a low-end HP ML115 dual-Opteron, where there were some issues with
a stock Debian 64bit kernel which we sorted with a kernel build).
