Dan, I last had an academic salary in 2003, so I'm maybe a bit out of date.
But I think 28K is in the ballpark, and as I said upthread a London
weighting on that would be a good idea if they were serious.
My point stands though - all the high falutin people should realise
that highly qualified scientists and engineers work in our
universities for half of that. (this comment not aimed at a nice
person who has offered me beer).
