Position Available: Technology Manager

Type: Permanent

Responsibilities:
    - Manage IT budget and purchasing strategies.
    - Provide IT support to the students and staff.
    - Manage user account administration. e.g. logins, email.
    - Manage backup and restore policy.
    - Monitor and maintain network security e.g. firewall, antivirus,
password policy.
    - Plan and develop internal IT infrastructure.
    - Assist with client software and hardware support.

Required Skills:
    - Previous system administration experience is essential.
    - Good experience of Windows Server 2003/XP and Red Hat based Linux
distributions.
    - Experience of Windows/Linux domain administration and networking
including Active Directory, Samba3/LDAP, DHCP, DNS, LAMP administration.
    - Must be competent in building and upgrading workstations and servers.

Desired Skills:
    - Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    - Familiarity with scripting languages.
    - VFX software knowledge e.g. Maya, RenderMan, Nuke and FlexLM software
licensing.
    - Nagios network monitoring.
    - IPCop Firewall or similar.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to work effectively under pressure.
    - Positive and pro-active approach to troubleshooting.
    - Time management and prioritisation skills.
