Price isn't everything. At one time Demon were competitively priced
because they were technically proficient. Over time they have kept their
premium price but the quality has declined dramatically and still seems
to be in free-fall. The market niche that was once occupied by Demon is
now filled by Zen who deliver a premium service to match their premium
price. Although I'm not sure that Zen may have kept their quality focus,
their news server doesn't deliver the spam-free service that it once did.
Pretty much the only chance for Demon now would be a management buy-out
and an attempt to build the good name it once had.
