Don't think I'm adding anything that hasn't been said but it just works. I
use it to record my podcast. If you're not running one of the supported
distros you might have to do a bit of hacking but the only problems I had
on Arch were strange interactions between Audacity and Skype that never
materialised on my relatively custom Ubuntu install.
