[GLLUG] Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H does not post

It does not boot, no graphics output, no bios, only very short beeps
(almost like a crack) from the pc speaker every 5 seconds.

The beep codes mean something.
Google for 'beep codes' plus the model number of your motherboard.
The pattern of beeps will tell you what the system thinks is faulty.

On Dell workstations there is a similar diagnostic, only using the LEDs on the front of the system.
