[Gloucs] Fetchmail

I've just set my self up with a locat mail server
(qmail/vpopmail/courier-imap) and every works normally. Appart from
fetchmail. I followed the a howtoo for gentoo
(http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/qmail-howto.xml). The howto uses vpopmail,
which means I have to log onto the mail servers (using smtp-auth) as
sam at trident.quarocket.co.uk I'm not impressed but it works. However it
means that fetchmail cant deliever to sam at localhost. When I run
fetchmail from the command line I just specify --smtpname
sam at trident.quadrocket.co.uk however when I try to add that to
my .fetchmailrc it complains of a syntax error on that line. Does anyone
know if I should be using that parameter in the file?
