[Gloucs] new broadband, initial connection problem

OK - gone for them, plus a BT voyager 2110 adsl modem/wireless router
which seemed to offer most feature you'd expect.

got activated today (alledgedly :-)

when I hook it all up the PC can see the router,
the router hunts for about 90 seconds during which its status goes through:
     down
     handshaking
     training
and ends at
     ready to connect :-)
so I enter the username and password given
(carefully, after checking that the little Ls werent ones etc)
the router says connecting for about 1 min then returns to the
     ready to connect page :-((

the appropriate bits of the username/password entered do work to access 
the members web site, so I am fairly sure I've got them right.

Anyone got any ideas before I take out a mortgage to call the tech 
support line that will probably say "not our kit, bye"
