Hello David,

Sorry to hear your problems... My suggestion is to save your home
directories (don't forget the hidden directories in your home
directories) to  a save place (other harddisk etc.), then reinstall
your Suse and copy your home directories back. In addition you can
copy the icon and wallpaper folders to keep your icons etc. In my
experience this is the quickest way to get a stable system up and running.
