I'm a luddite on this front, and do my mind-maps with
pen and paper in my mind-map diary ;-)
There are other Free Software mind-mapping tools available,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mind_Mapping_software
and other sources will point you to FreeMind, too.
As it's Free Software I'm sure Semantik could be compiled
for non-*nix platforms. FreeMind is Java.
