[HLUG] Which distro for a laptop?

my laptop came with clever stuff
to slow the processer down if its not needed,
eg when typing,
i doubt a standard linus would have the drivers for that,
but i dont know how their drivers work...

saw a white asus eepc for £199.99 in pcworld hereford,
looks very nice,
2G of which 1466MB is OS,
still the 430MB left is equivalent to 400 floppies,
and it takes a flash card too!
