I had this happening once - ripping uses a lot of cpu so may be causing the
cpu to overheat and auto shutdown
Try checking temp of cpu in bios soon after rebooting or take side of case
off to see if it coolsmore
A tired julian back in uk waiting at man airport rail stn flew back at 7am
today from Ljubljana Airport
Thanks

Hi All,
I was wondering if I could get some advice from someone. I am trying to rip
some DVD's to my hard drive, but about half way through the process, the
computer is shutting itself down. I have checked all the settings in the
software I am using and there doesn't seem to be anything out of place (it
used to work fine).
Does anyone know of a way I can track what has happened the next time this
occurs? I have checked the Syslogs and cant find anything that looks
suspicious.
Any ideas?
Ta,
Mo
