Hi Matthew
Thanks for your offer of help !
I spoke to the lady at All Saints in Hereford and although she was initially
on the back foot, after realising that we are not trying to sell anything,
she was quite keen to help. We have to get a letter (via email) written to
her, I think for Monday night for their committee meeting as she doent make
the final decision.
The space isn't huge, but is is completely free and right in the centre of
Hereford with much passing trade from the cafe. We would be welcome to have
computers there too, and a display.
The letter needs to say what we are trying to do. I mentioned about the
altruistic reasons of using Open Source, and this went down well. She
likened us a little to the raid craft stall that is sometimes there, so
trying the softly softly approach and green, community giving reasons will
help. I also mentioned we have done a project for Community First to help
them sell computers at very low prices to community groups locally that
wouldnt have been able to afford them normally.
I also mentioned our presentation to the local Green and Friends of the
Earth, which went down quite well
Pete : are you ok to draft something for Monday ? If not, I'll write
something, as we dont want to miss the boat
