Hi,

We had a demo of KVM, Xen, and associated managers of virtualisation tools
including Convirture and Virtual Box at our last meeting

I tried installing Convirture and am following the instructions here
http://www.convirture.com/wiki/index.ph
... stallation<http://www.convirture.com/wiki/index.php?title=Convirt2_Installation>with
the pre-created appliance.

But when I run the appliance as this :-

qemu-system-x86_64 -hda "/mnt/storage/vm_disks/c2_appliance.disk.xm" -net
"nic,vlan=0,macaddr=00:16:3e:20:d4:44" -net "user,vlan=0" -std-vga "" -boot
"c" -m "512" -vnc ":25" -name "convirt_appliance" -smp "2" -redir
tcp:2222::22 -redir tcp:8888::8081 -daemonize

I get an error 'qemu-system-x86_64: invalid option -- '-std-vga''

If I remove this line, I get another error

could not set up host forwarding rule 'tcp:8888::8081'

Are these instructions really going to work with all distros ? There's no
point in having a prebuilt appliance if you cant run it out of the box.

If there's some changes to KVM in the latest Ubuntu 10.04, please let me
know, I'd like to try Convirture, but as yet have failed.
