[HLUG] wireless on ubuntu lucid

I have upgraded without problems all my desktops to ubuntu 10.04 lucid
the only hiccup was getting flash going on the 64bit but it did not take
long. I would like to try the Netbook version on my eee 1000h to replace
the old version of eeebuntu i am running but I have read that there are
problems with the ralink wireless drivers which means you have to
install the 2.6.33 kernel and compile the rt2860 driver.
I should probably wait for the update which will solve the problem but
 has anyone tried it on on a eee 1000h or similar?
