Hi again

Linux can be more picky about problematic hardware than Windows. I had a pci
adsl modem that didnt work correctly due to a faulty ide cdrom!  you wouldnt
think it would make any odds but it did.

So remove any other devices yoi dont need at install like usb ones and give
iy another try
