tuxedu-subscribe at yahoogroups.com
but then you cant use web features like photos links and files.

lets decide whether to go with google or yahoo soon

I have lots of experience of moderating yahoo groups,
and log on many times a day on average,
so could do this for a yahoo group.

I believe the files, photos, links etc are better than at google.

which is where I learn how to run yahoo groups etc

I do not have the time or energy to learn how to run google groups.
