I am offering these on Freecycle today but I thought I'd offer them here
too.

FREE - three faulty/incomplete desktop PC base units. These have no
RAM, only one has a hard disk (wiped) and two have CD-R drives. They
have Celeron CPUs, around 2.4 to 2.8GHz. All three are FAULTY and
incomplete as follows:

1. Will boot and Windows or Linux can be installed but is unstable and
freezes randomly. This one had a 40GB hard disk (wiped) and CD-R drive,
no RAM. (unbranded)

2. Sometimes won't boot and when it does attempting to install an OS
fails. Was removed from use due to being unstable. CD-R drive, no HDD or
RAM. (unbranded)

3. Will boot through the BIOS one time out of ten if you are lucky, but
once it does boot it seems stable and Windows or Linux should install
and run OK. No HDD, CD or RAM. Has XP Home COA sticker on case. (Packard
Bell)

This lot may be of use to someone for parts or to try to get working. I
suspect all will need motherboard repairs (replacement capacitors?).
Some of the PSU and CPU fans are noisy. You will need some PC2700 RAM
before you can do anything with any of them.

Also included is a bag containing a few computer leads and other bits
and pieces.

Free of charge and to go as a single lot. Collection from Hereford city
centre before next weekend please.

Please email me directly if interested.

Paul
