Dear All,
For the avoidance of doubt I would like to thank Jools for his sterling
work in researching possible venues for public presentation type
meetings. It remains a great sadness that there seems to be no go-to
list of available rooms in the county. Maybe we could get Big Jesse to
sort one out as we move to voluntary services provision ;)

If I recall, the only reason we stopped using Canal Road Centre was the
lack of web access. Perhaps this could be revisited in the light of the
PC suite now on the premises? Does Ben P know anything about this?
If that option is still available in co-operation with other user groups
then it may be a good transition from free (noisy) at the Courtyard to
cheap but quiet. This would allow us space to develop more technical or
workshop style meetings without having to find either money or lots of
new participants.

I am happy to contribute an old PC with a wireless card to serve as a
wireless router if Canal Road lacks one, but there ought to be a less
power hungry solution - lots of wireless routers and possibly switches
in car boot land!
