I'd second the thanks to Julian

I know nothing of Internet access at Canal Rd but I'll go and find out.

Herefordshire Council recently introduced guest wifi access in some
buildings which might open up other options. I'll report back next week
hopefully.

A database of rooms to hire across the county doesn't feel like it would be
technically complex. Though getting and keeping the data up to date would
be more challenging. There might be a small project in there if anyone is
interested?

An alternative approach might be to pay for room hire in time banking. HLUG
attendees have a wide range of skills and we might be able to barter space
for help. I imagine this might be of particular interest for voluntary
/community hire.

We could probably widen possible venues if we didn't need Internet access.
Maybe we could find some grant funding for a Wide or similar (or build
something ourselves?). I have some thoughts on possible grant funding which
I'll happily share at the next get together.

Cheers

Ben
