Subject: Unable to download Ubuntu on my Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 2002 Service Pack 2 (32 bit)

Message Body:
I have spent four days unsuccessfully trying to download Ubuntu 14.04. I
have tried all the links and read the advice and instructions to download
the necessary ISO and zip files etc, but unsuccessfully. As you can see
I'm not an ICT professional. I would much appreciate if someone could
download it manually for me and I'm willing to pay. Please telephone me 01432
344 662.
I need my computer with an anti-virus to use now to apply for on-line jobs.
I don't want to buy the Microsoft office 2013 for 110 pounds (I've just
noticed my keyboard also doesn't type the pound symbol anymore -odd?).
Unfortunately I'm unable to wait until the next Herefordshire Linux User
Group meeting at the end of January, 2015; because I'm unemployed. I can'y
risk using my computer on XP Professional without a fire wall & an
anti-virus. McAffe anti-virus refuses to download unless I upgrade my OS,
and this means buying the Microsoft windows 2013. I have a good second
hand computer: Veriton 1000 (RAM 1GB DDR2 memory and Intel 1.86 GHz speed,
purchase in 2010). Ubuntu should download. I have completely cleared my
computer of bugs by clearing & reloading my OS and then using a free
Malware anti-virus.

Any help would be much appreciated. I would much prefer talking to someone
to arrange to pay on an hourly rate to set me up on Ubuntu.
Regards,
Jonathan
