Thanks for getting in touch with our group. I hope we can help you.
For what its worth I think your problem may be in how you're burning the
ISO file as its different to burning a Cd with a single file on it. You
have to burn it as an iso which creates lots of files and folders on the cd
to install Linux.
Otherwise, you could instead get a Linux magazine and use one of the Cd's
on there, there usually a DVD with Linux Mint or Ubuntu etc with each
magazine.
Lastly, perhaps one of the members can lend you a cd .
