I installed and activated the Contact Form 7 plugin which is easy to configure and use with simple standard shortcode use and fairly customizable with extra fields etc. Should answer the needs. If you want a contact at hlug.org.uk that sends to a bunch of people simply, then let me know.

How would we set up a contact form which doesnt just go to only ONE of us? 

Did you make the new member change by unclicking 
[anyone can register] 
at Settings/ General? 

Is that a default setting of Wordpress - if so it shouldn't be, 
if not sorry if I changed it!
