[HLUG] Herefordshire Digest, Vol 1830, Issue 1

Hi,
I've been a 'lurker' for some time. Mostly out of a degree of shyness combined with laziness.  At the moment I'm in Sunderland so tonight is out of the question.  I hope I can make May. I have completed the questionnaire but can I ask in advance for advice? I'm an awful typist but my work involves a lot of writing. Up until now I've used Dragon Naturally Speaking on win 7. I  already  know that my laptop works faster and with greater stability with Mint and I've installed 'Simon' but so far I can't get it to work. If I bring my laptop along in May can someone offer any pointers please?

Hi

Just a reminder our April meeting will be *tonight* at 7.30pm as posted
previously.

I will bring along the results of the survey and we can start to plan
meetings around these topics, which appear to be more from a beginners or
lighter level. There's been 14 responses so far - not bad but the poll is
still there

if anyone still wants to complete it, it's only one question and there's no
logging in so it will take about 30 seconds max..

I will also bring my laptop with Manjaro Linux should anyone wish to have a

If you have any hardware issues, again please bring your laptop/tablet etc.
bear in mind there is no power so please charge up your device beforehand
