[HLUG] Specialist Cyber Defence centre to be set up in Hereford

Hi

Some interesting news that crept in under  the radar last week. Along with
the 8 million pound for the new Uni for Hereford there has also been 2
million provided to set up a new Cyber security specialist centre for
Hereford. 185 jobs will be created for this alone

The linux link is because there is a great deal of linux and open source
use in Cyber security. Thus implies that there will suddenly be a demand
for these skills for this area for the new centre.

I don't have any further news on this yet but a very exciting development
for Linux and cyber security in the county
