Hi
Just a quick recap on the Herefordshire Linux User Group meeting from
Wednesday.
Four of us made it in the end and we discussed simple things we can do to
get more impetus back in the group.
Tim and George looked at other similar groups that we can visit who have a
similar ethos and interests.
There is a popular Makerspace in Bromyard https://www.makebromyard.org.
uk/about/ every Tuesday evening that we think we should visit. Perhaps we
may get some more members in our LUG from their group.
I will contact them and we will propose a lug visit to them soon.
There was apparently an interesting event on something like the Internet of
Things on April 9th 7pm at the Shire Hall in Hereford but I couldn't find
any more details anyway on the web.
The nearest Raspberry Pi group is Malvern. Perhaps this group is one we can
contact and visit when they have an event on.
The other local relevant groups that perhaps we could get involved with are
the 'Code Academies' that work with local schools.
Also on the other end of the scale there is an Open Data Group run by Ben
Proctor who is also in our group.
Julian
